Kim Family -- Christmas 2012

First off, it's exactly 26 days until Christmas.  (Whaaaattt?!!!! When did this happen?! I feel like this sneaks up on you more often when you grow older. Strange.)  Anywho, I had the privilege to shoot the Kim's Christmas family pictures again.  You can see their Christmas pictures from last year here.  It was kinda funny taking their pictures when it was in the 80's outside, but hey y'all, this is Texas.  It's how we roll.

The Kim family is precious, I absolutely adore them and am so thankful to them for asking me to take their pictures again.

Dear Kims, thank you for allowing me to take these pictures for y'all.  You guys are wonderful.  Merry Christmas everyone! As strange as that may sound...

Semi Photo Flop

Last month I attempted in taking part in the October Photo-a-Day Challenge. Let's just say, I failed. I took a few at the beginning of the month, but kinda forgot/was too busy to finish up the challenge (a cheesy and cliche excuse, I know). Although I don't have photos for every single day of the month, I do have a few from when I actually did take some pictures.  Here's a few that I did take...

Day 1: Leaves

Day 2: In My Cup (hot chocolate)

Day 3: Shoes

Day 4: Up

Day 5: Light

Day 8: Shadows

Day 9: Me

Sad, I know.  Only 7 pictures out of a possible 31.  Oh well.  It at least helped me to take pictures a little more often.  One thing I want to do and will do soon is actually complete one of these things.  Hopefully soon, my friends.

Well Hello, Again.

It's been a while. I admit, I am not the best at blogging (my last blog was about 5 months ago... ouch).  So, since it's been so long, I'll catch you up on what my life looks like right now.

My sister and I are going to start play club volleyball soon!
I must sound like I'm volleyball crazy, but I just started to really, really like volleyball where before, it was just kinda fun.  So now, Amanda and I get to play on a club team together!  6 more months of volleyball.  It shall be awesome.

This cooler weather does something to me.
Fall just makes me want to bake cookies and drink hot chocolate all day long.  Every day.  Although this does not actually happen, I do crave it.  A lot.  Please tell me that's a good thing, because I doubt this is going to go away...

I have my drivers license!
Except, no car.  But that's ok.  Because I don't really have a "real job" except for teaching piano (which is awesome) and helping my dad with some of his work stuff (which is also awesome).  So the car can wait.  I'm content.  In the meantime I should probably start learning some street names.

I really love my church's youth worship team.
I really do.  We've started having Bible study's and fellowship times on Sunday nights, and people have really opened up to each other.  We've started to get to know one another better which is essential to being on a worship team together.  I love my church.  I love my friends.  I really do.

My friends came in from California this past week and stayed with us.  And it was so much fun!
A couple friends that Amanda and I have been best friends with (Ashley and Alexis Segall) moved away to California about 4 or 5 years ago.  We haven't seen each other since (skype doesn't count).  They came down here to visit us and go hunting last week and it was so awesome seeing them again and catching up!  It wasn't awkward at all.  We all slept on the floor in my bedroom just like we did when were little.  It was awesome.  And now I miss them.  So I will move on to another topic.

I re-styled my blog!
I had been wanting to for a while, and I finally did it.  Thoughts?  It's still not complete yet, and kinda boring looking, but it's a work in progress.  Mission almost-accomplished.

So yup.  That's about it.  Life is good because God is good, despite who gets elected.  (Kinda glad all this election stuff is over, aren't you?) I will really try my best to post stuff more frequently here.  We'll see how it goes.  Happy Thanksgiving!
